Power quality improvement using fuzzy logic controller for five-level shunt active power filter under distorted voltage conditions

摘要: In this paper, a five-level inverter is used as a shunt active power filter (APF), taking advantages of the multilevel inverter such as low harmonic distortion and reduced switching losses. It is used to compensate reactive power and eliminate harmonics drawn from a thyristor rectifier feeding an inductive load (RL) under distorted voltage conditions. The APF control strategy is based on the use of self-tuning filters (STF) for reference current generation and a fuzzy logic current controller. The use of STF instead of classical extraction filters allows extracting directly the voltage and current fundamental components in the - axis without phase locked loop (PLL). The MATLAB fuzzy logic toolbox is used for implementing the fuzzy logic control algorithm. The obtained results show that the proposed shunt APF controller has produced a sinusoidal supply current with low harmonic distortion and in phase with the line voltage.

催化氧化器是载人航天器中的微量污染净化装置的一个重要组成部分。提出了一种新型自整定模糊 控制器控制催化氧化器工作温度,它采用在线Bang-bang方法获得系统特性,利用所提出的整定公式计算出模糊 控制器的输入输出因子,将这些比例因子与标准查寻表结合,实现了自整定模糊控制器的设计。

Fine-tuning cell organelle dynamics during mitosis by small GTPases

摘要: During mitosis, the allocation of genetic material concurs with organelle transformation and distribution. The coordination of genetic material inheritance with organelle dynamics directs accurate mitotic progression, cell fate determination, and organismal homeostasis. Small GTPases belonging to the Ras superfamily regulate various cell organelles during division. Being the key regulators of membrane dynamics, the dysregulation of small GTPases is widely associated with cell organelle disruption in neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases, such as cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Recent discoveries shed light on the molecular properties of small GTPases as sophisticated modulators of a remarkably complex and perfect adaptors for rapid structure reformation. This review collects current knowledge on small GTPases in the regulation of cell organelles during mitosis and highlights the mediator role of small GTPase in transducing cell cycle signaling to organelle dynamics during mitosis.

Variable identification and automatic tuning of the main module of a servo system of parallel mechanism

摘要: The variables of the main module of a servo system for miniature reconfigurable parallel mechanism were identified and automatically tuned. With the reverse solution module of the translation, the module with the exerted translation joint was obtained, which included the location, velocity and acceleration of the parallelogram carriage-branch. The rigid dynamic reverse model was set as the virtual work principle. To identify the variables of the servo system, the triangle-shaped input signal with variable frequency was adopted to overcome the disadvantages of the pseudo-random number sequence, i.e., making the change of the vibration amplitude of the motor dramatically, easily impact the servo motor and make the velocity loop open and so on. Moreover, all the variables including the rotary inertia of the servo system were identified by the additive mass. The overshoot and rise time were the optimum goals, the limited changing load with the attitude was considered, and the range of the controller variables in the servo system was identified. The results of the experiments prove that the method is accurate.

Task-space position/attitude tracking control of FAST fine tuning system

摘要: This paper addresses the task-space position/attitude tracking control of a suspended parallel robot, which is being developed in the framework of a five-hundred meter aperture spherical radio telescope (FAST) project. Based on the quaternion algebra, a novel model-independent task-space PD controller that ensures end-effector position and attitude tracking is presented. The simulation and experimental results show that the new controller has better control effects than the traditional joint-space controller.

Evaluate HAA removal in biologically active carbon filters using the ICR database

摘要: The effects of biologically active carbon (BAC) filtration on haloacetic acid (HAA) levels in plant effluents and distribution systems were investigated using the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Information Collection Rule (ICR) database. The results showed that average HAA5 concentrations in all locations were 20.4 μg·L and 29.6 μg·L in ICR plants with granular activated carbon (GAC) and ICR plants without GAC process, respectively. For plants without GAC, the highest HAA levels were observed in the quarters of April to June and July to September. However, for plants with GAC, the highest HAA levels were observed in the quarters of April to June and January to March. This HAA level profile inversely correlated well with water temperature, or biologic activity. For GAC plants, simulated distribution samples matched well with distribution system equivalent samples for Cl AA and THMs. For plants with and without GAC, simulated distribution samples overestimated readily biodegradable HAAs in distribution systems. The study indicated that through HAA biodegradation, GAC process plays an important role in lowering HAA levels in finished drinking water.

Exploring self-organization and self-adaption for smart manufacturing complex networks

摘要: Trends toward the globalization of the manufacturing industry and the increasing demands for small-batch, short-cycle, and highly customized products result in complexities and fluctuations in both external and internal manufacturing environments, which poses great challenges to manufacturing enterprises. Fortunately, recent advances in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and the widespread use of embedded processors and sensors in factories enable collecting real-time manufacturing status data and building cyber–physical systems for smart, flexible, and resilient manufacturing systems. In this context, this paper investigates the mechanisms and methodology of self-organization and self-adaption to tackle exceptions and disturbances in discrete manufacturing processes. Specifically, a general model of smart manufacturing complex networks is constructed using scale-free networks to interconnect heterogeneous manufacturing resources represented by network vertices at multiple levels. Moreover, the capabilities of physical manufacturing resources are encapsulated into virtual manufacturing services using cloud technology, which can be added to or removed from the networks in a plug-and-play manner. Materials, information, and financial assets are passed through interactive links across the networks. Subsequently, analytical target cascading is used to formulate the processes of self-organizing optimal configuration and self-adaptive collaborative control for multilevel key manufacturing resources while particle swarm optimization is used to solve local problems on network vertices. Consequently, an industrial case based on a Chinese engine factory demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed model and method in handling typical exceptions. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism and method outperform the event-triggered rescheduling method, reducing manufacturing cost, manufacturing time, waiting time, and energy consumption, with reasonable computational time. This work potentially enables managers and practitioners to implement active perception, active response, self-organization, and self-adaption solutions in discrete manufacturing enterprises.

Asymmetric discriminative correlation filters for visual tracking

摘要: Discriminative correlation filters (DCF) are efficient in and have advanced the field significantly. However, the symmetry of correlation (or convolution) operator results in computational problems and does harm to the generalized translation equivariance. The former problem has been approached in many ways, whereas the latter one has not been well recognized. In this paper, we analyze the problems with the symmetry of circular convolution and propose an asymmetric one, which as a generalization of the former has a weak generalized translation equivariance property. With this operator, we propose a tracker called the asymmetric discriminative correlation filter (ADCF), which is more sensitive to translations of targets. Its asymmetry allows the filter and the samples to have different sizes. This flexibility makes the computational complexity of ADCF more controllable in the sense that the number of filter parameters will not grow with the sample size. Moreover, the normal matrix of ADCF is a block matrix with each block being a two-level block Toeplitz matrix. With this well-structured normal matrix, we design an algorithm for multiplying an × two-level block Toeplitz matrix by a vector with time complexity (log) and space complexity (), instead of (). Unlike DCF-based trackers, introducing spatial or temporal regularization does not increase the essential computational complexity of ADCF. Comparative experiments are performed on a synthetic dataset and four benchmarks, including OTB-2013, OTB-2015, VOT-2016, and Temple-Color, and the results show that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance.

Tuning the catalytic selectivity in electrochemical CO

摘要: Electrochemical conversion of CO to hydrocarbons can relieve both environmental and energy stresses. However, electrocatalysts for this reaction usually suffer from a poor product selectivity and a large overpotential. Here we report that tunable catalytic selectivity for hydrocarbon formation could be achieved on Cu nanomaterials with different morphologies. By tuning the electrochemical parameters, either Cu oxide nanowires or nanoneedles were fabricated and then electrochemically reduced to the corresponding Cu nanomaterials. The Cu nanowires preferred the formation of C H , while the Cu nanoneedles favored the production of more CH , rather than C H . Our work provides a facile synthetic strategy for preparing Cu-based nanomaterials to achieve selective CO reduction.

GaAlAs/GaAs平面波导串联矩形谐振腔滤波器的研究

基于四端口谐振腔滤波理论,采用二维时域有限差分法(2D-FDTD)数值仿真了矩形谐振腔的滤波特性,分析了串联谐振腔的个数与滤波特性的关系;设计和制作了GaAlAs/GaAs平面波导四串联矩形谐振腔滤波器,获得其滤波特性,测试结果通带半宽约为10 nm;与仿真结果有着较好的符合。

Tuning nitrogen defects and doping sulfur in carbon nitride for enhanced visible light photocatalytic

摘要: Defect construction and heteroatom doping are effective strategies for improving photocatalytic activity of carbon nitride (g-C3N4). In this work, N defects were successfully prepared via cold plasma. High-energy electrons generated by plasma can produce N defects and embed sulfur atoms into g-C3N4. The N defects obviously promoted photocatalytic degradation performance that was 7.5 times higher than that of pure g-C3N4. The concentration of N defects can be tuned by different power and time of plasma. With the increase in N defects, the photocatalytic activity showed a volcanic trend. The g-C3N4 with moderate concentration of N defects exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity. S-doped g-C3N4 exhibited 11.25 times higher photocatalytic activity than pure g-C3N4. It provided extra active sites for photocatalytic reaction and improved stability of N defects. The N vacancy-enriched and S-doped g-C3N4 are beneficial for widening absorption edge and improving the separation efficiency of electron and holes.

Emerging trends in self-healable nanomaterials for triboelectric nanogenerators: A comprehensive review

摘要: A thorough analysis of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) that make use of self-healable nanomaterials is presented in this review. These TENGs have shown promise as independent energy sources that do not require an external power source to function. TENGs are developing into a viable choice for powering numerous applications as low-power electronics technology advances. Despite having less power than conventional energy sources, TENGs do not directly compete with these. TENGs, on the other hand, provide unique opportunities for future self-powered systems and might encourage advancements in energy and sensor technologies. Examining the many approaches used to improve nanogenerators by employing materials with shape memory and self-healable characteristics is the main goal of this review. The findings of this comprehensive review provide valuable information on the advancements and possibilities of TENGs, which opens the way for further research and advancement in this field. The discussion of life cycle evaluations of TENGs provides details on how well they perform in terms of the environment and identifies potential improvement areas. Additionally, the cost-effectiveness, social acceptability, and regulatory implications of self-healing TENGs are examined, as well as their economic and societal ramifications.

Modular structure of a self-reconfigurable robot

摘要: This paper proposes a novel, hermaphroditic, and lattice self-reconfigurable modular robot. Each module is composed of a center body a cubic part and six sides that can rotate independently. There are two holes and two extensible pegs on each side. The rotary motion of each side and the extensible motion of the pegs are generated by a motor connected to a reducer, using a cone-shaped gear, belt, clutch, etc. The structure of the module is compact, and has space to extend further.
